About me
Karlene has been in libraries since 1999, and a librarian since 2018. She's been in established positions and in situations where she helped develop the position from the ground up. Each has been a wonderful learning experience, even if imposter phenomenon lurked in the background. She's learned so much and loves being in libraries!
She is the Education & Human Development Librarian at the University of North Dakota. She’s served on CFL's JEDI committee since 2021, NDLA’s EDI committee since 2020 and ACRL's Accessibility committee since 2025. Living with invisible disabilities makes this topic one of importance to her.
